The legendary national historic landmark and temple of jazz and improvisation, Minton’s will go bright when Broadway goes dark.
Get ready for world class musical performances, special guests from Broadway And Harlem’s brightest talents…and as the night goes on, you’ll be asked to be a part of it too!

Meet your hosts: if you’ve ever wondered what happens when Diana Kazakova (Broadway Vocal Coach/Producer /Vocalist) teams up with Deah Love Harriott (Broadway Music Director/ Pianist/Vocalist)… well now you can find out. These wildly trained power house women are coming together to make monday nights at minton’s their creative headquarters.
Downtown they say break a leg, uptown we say shake a leg. Not to be missed.
About the band:
Diana Kazakova – Broadway Vocal Coach / Producer / Performer
Diana Kazakova is from Vancouver and lives in New York City. An extensively trained singer, she was raised on folk music. Diana is the founding lead singer of The Bjorkestra, (an 18 piece big band reinterpretation of Bjork’s music), she has played to sold out shows in New York and all along the east coast. Most recently she was a guest vocalist with the Grammy Award winning folk duo The Indigo Girls and she also performed with Enya on Kelly & Ryan on ABC. She has also been a guest vocalist with The Canadian Tenors.
Her many producing credits include Great Night in Harlem at The Apollo, Yo-Yo Ma’s Silk Road Project, Drake and PDiddy at the Time Warner Fan Event, NBC.com and the Katie Couric television show. In her own work as Creative Producer, Diana has worked with numerous New York City musicians and dancers from Broadway and leading dance companies and ensembles. Her Magical Black School Bus Series traveled around New York City and Brooklyn with a troupe of magicians, musicians, dancers and dreamers in tow.
Diana has performed across North America and has been the lead in over a dozen Equity musicals and plays, including Godspell, Jesus Christ Superstar, The King and I, Snow White, Street Scene and many more. Diana is also the voice of countless commercials and documentaries on radio and television.
Deah Love Harriott – Broadway Music Director / Vocalist / Pianist
Deah Love Harriott is from Lincoln Nebraska, and is currently a proud resident of NYC. A Tony nominated music director for the Broadway revival of “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide / When the Rainbow Isn’t Enuf,” Deah was also the music director and pianist for the off-broadway production, “Marie and Rosetta” (Atlantic Theater). She served as music director for a 75-plus person cast for the Tony Award winning musical “The Wiz,” (LCP), and the studio project “Sacrifice,” by gospel music group Deah L. Harriott & Images is one of many projects which she has written, produced, and contributed to.
An accomplished classically trained pianist and vocalist, Deah Love has worked vocally & has been an instrumentalist with countless artists in all genres, including gospel, classical, r&b, pop, jazz (including Jon Batiste and Harry Connick, Jr. to name a few). She is a conglomeration of all of the musical things, and quite the formidable emcee, and hostess and performer!
She was most recently an honoree and recipient of the Concerned Women of Brooklyn Inc.’s Outstanding Leadership Award where she was recognized for her contributions to the community of Brooklyn, NY. Deah Love was also recognized by her alma mater, Nebraska Wesleyan University with the Outstanding Music Alumni Award. Currently a proud resident of New York, NY, Deah Love is currently the Minister of Worship & Fine Arts at Bethany Baptist Church in Brooklyn, a traveling vocalist, adjudicator and educator, specializing in voice, piano and organ (Hammond and pipe), with focuses in classical, gospel, jazz, and r&b.
