About the band:
Jorge Altamirano is a proud first generation American of Mexican descent and an International Cabaret artist who has beguiled and thrilled audiences in Europe, the United States and Central and South America. His musical stylings have enchanted listeners in London and throughout the British Isles and his brilliant American Songbook renderings of Gershwin, Berlin, Cole Porter and Lorenz Hart have brought fresh insight to those classic composers throughout the Southwest in California, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada and New Mexico.
Jorge was among the youngest winners of prodigy in vocal performance at the University of Arizona where he was awarded a full academic Scholarship for Excellence at the age of 17.
Most recently Jorge has performed in cabaret shows to sold out crowds and packed houses, including Feinstein’s/54 Below, Joe’s Pub, Metropolitan Room, Triad Theater, Don’t Tell Mama and The Duplex and is excited to make his debut appearance at Minton’s Playhouse performing A Love Letter to Chet Baker!
