BIO

Trumpeter Jeremy Pelt is a considerably new face in the jazz scene, but he has done nothing short of making a name for himself.

Pelt was invested in music as a child; he first started playing and studying classical trumpet in elementary school. It wasn’t until he played in his high school jazz band that he shifted his focus to jazz music. After high school, Pelt attended Berklee College of Music where he studied jazz improvisation and film scoring. He graduated with a B.A. in professional music.

Pelt saw his fame rise in the early 2000s, and as of today, it shows no sign of slowing down. His debut solo album, “Profile,” was released in 2002. The next year he was hard at work at putting out his sophomore album, “Insight.” Pelt has consistently recorded 10 albums and toured globally. His latest album, “The Artist,” was released in February. The styles of music are described as drawing from ‘70s fusion and funk sounds while intertwining his own modern sounds.

Pelt is also no stranger to critical acclaim. He was featured in the Wall Street Journal, as well as receiving rave reviews for his albums via various publications. He was voted Rising Star on the Trumpet five years in a row by Downbeat Magazine and the Jazz Journalist Association.
